La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas en Hollywood anunció ayer los nominados a la octogésima octava entrega anual de los Premios Oscar, en una ceremonia realizada en el Teatro Samuel Goldwyn de Beverly Hills.
Los anunciantes este año fueron los cineastas Guillermo del Toro y Ang Lee, el afamado intérprete de Jim Halpert en la célebre serie televisiva The Office, John Krasinski, y la presidenta de la Academia, Cheryl Boone Isaacs.
Los nominados este año, como en la edición pasada, son predominantemente blancos, por lo que cinéfilos como Brooks Barnes y Michael Cieply del New York Times auguran copiosas críticas para la Academia por segundo año consecutivo. Y es que, exceptuando el filme Straight Outta Compton de F. Gary Gray –nominado a mejor guión- y la participación del actor y comediante Chris Rock como anfitrión, los votantes del exclusivo grupo hollywoodense optaron por pintar un panorama blanco nuevamente.
En esta edición, los favoritos son: The Revenant del director Alejandro Iñárritu y Mad Max: Fury Road del director George Miller. Estos fueron nominados a 12 y 10 galardones, respectivamente.
La glamurosa ceremonia se celebrará el próximo domingo, 28 de febrero desde las ocho de la noche en el Teatro Dolby de Hollywood y será transmitida por la emisora nacional ABC.
